US 52 Kermit Bypass Steptown to Lower Burning Creek Interchange
E.L. Robinson Engineering Co. was contracted by the West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways to design a 1.2 mile stretch of controlled access four lane highway including an interchange with four ramps. The Roadway group of E.L. Robinson Engineering Co. also designed a connector road to tie into the existing US 52 highway. Over ten million cubic yards of excavation was required for this project.
Other design features included in this project were drainage, right-of-way, maintenance of traffic, signing, pavement markings and an 108 inch structural plate pipe over 1,300 linear feet in length.
