Nov 02, 2012Ground Broken For Nestlow II
EAST LYNN – Ceremonies for the groundbreaking of the Nestlow II water project were conducted indoors as the rain from Hurricane Sandy fell Monday. The ceremony was in the East Lynn Church of God where Lavalette Public Service District manager Richard Smith said similar formalities have been performed previously.
“We can not express our gratitude for the use of the facility,” Smith said. “This is a great day to be in Wayne County and the Nestlow area, in that they will be receiving safe, clear drinking water.”
Smith said the project has had some problems, but with the work of members of the community, it became a reality.
