EL Robinson Engineering is pleased to announce that it was nominated for 2012 WVDOH Engineering Excellence Award in the Large Bridge Category. ELR received the nomination for the engineering design of the Tuppers Creek to Pocatalico Bridges. This project included three sets of twin bridges that carry Interstate 77 over Tuppers Creek, County Route 28 and County Route 29 in Kanawha County. The project consisted of 855 linear feet of new bridge deck, steel superstructure, atop the rehabilitated existing substructure which significantly reduced the overall total project cost, saving the taxpayers of West Virginia.
