This project included the design and construction of a bikeway bridge deck on an existing railroad bridge. The project bridge and corridor is shared by the Indiana and Ohio Railway. Precast concrete deck panels were designed to span the existing railroad floor beams. The panels supported a chain link fence which seperated the active rail line and the bike path. A wood rail was designed and constructed on the opposite side to protect traffic along that edge. The length of the bridge was 100 feet and the deck was 10 feet wide. Project coordination was required with the Railroad, the City of Urbana, and ODNR.
