Gilbert Sidewalk and Town Hall Enhancements

ELR was contracted to provide community enhancement planning, design, bidding and construction administration and observation beginning at City Hall on Central Avenue & Third Avenue (US52). The project will extend in both directions from BB&T Bank to Guyan Street improving the pedestrian linkages in the central business district of the town.

Improved parking and pedestrian plaza space at City Hall and new sidewalk along Central Avenue are the first phase of construction beginning in the spring of 2012. Long term plans include a inner city pedestrian trail along an abandoned rail right of way which includes a bridge across the Guyandotte River.
